Where Every Resident Is Family
At Mulberry Court we genuinely care about the happiness and well-being of all our residents. We look upon every one as a family member, and that principle shapes everything we do.
Purpose-built and opened in November 2015, Mulberry Court was designed from the ground up to provide modern, comfortable care. Forty-three single bedrooms are spread across two floors with full lift access, and every detail of the building was planned around the people who would live here.
Under the leadership of Registered Manager Joanne Bruce, our team delivers friendly, thoughtful care at all times with respect for each individual. From residential and nursing care to specialist dementia support and palliative care, we offer a breadth of services that means residents rarely need to move if their needs change.
Six Types of Care, One Home
From residential support to specialist dementia and palliative care, Mulberry Court is designed so that residents can stay as their needs evolve. No upheaval, no unfamiliar faces.
Residential Care
A permanent home with support for daily living. Personal care, companionship, and the reassurance that someone is always nearby, day and night.
Nursing Care
Qualified nursing staff on hand around the clock. Clinical expertise delivered with warmth, for residents whose health needs require professional monitoring.
Dementia Care
Specialist support from mild to advanced dementia, delivered in a purpose-built environment with dedicated facilities including a reminiscence room designed to stimulate memory and comfort.
Respite Care
Short-term stays to give family carers a well-earned break. All the comfort and attention of a permanent resident, for as long as you need.
Palliative & End-of-Life Care
Effective pain and symptom management to enable residents to live their last days in a dignified manner. We work closely with families and healthcare professionals to provide compassionate, person-centred support during the most difficult times.
We also offer day care including access to hydrotherapy and swimming, providing social engagement and therapeutic benefits without a residential commitment.
More Than a Care Home
Good care is not just about clinical expertise. It is about having a full life, meaningful activities, and the freedom to live each day on your own terms.

From Strength to Strength
Every care home faces challenges. What matters is how you respond. Mulberry Court's journey from its earliest CQC inspection to achieving Outstanding for Responsive care is a story of relentless commitment to getting things right.
When early inspections identified areas for improvement, the team did not make excuses. They made changes. New leadership, stronger governance, better training, and an unwavering focus on what residents actually need drove a transformation that the CQC itself recognised as exceptional.
Today, the Outstanding rating for Responsive care is not just a badge. It reflects a culture where feedback is acted upon, care plans are genuinely personalised, and every resident's voice matters.
Est. 2015
Early challenges identified. The team committed to wholesale improvement, putting residents at the centre of every decision.
